The Lahore High Court on Wednesday adjourned the hearing of a petition against defamation campaign launched by Lahore Development Authority (LDA) and others against Bahria Town.

Justice Nasir Saeed Sheikh was hearing the matter which was fixed as an objection case. The court after hearing the arguments directed that the petition be fixed with another identical petition filed by the Bahria Town and adjourned the hearing until March 17.

The petition was filed by Amjad Nawaz Bhatti and others through counsel Dr Basit, submitting that they were owners of plots in Sector D and E of Bahria Town which were also known as Orchard Phase-II.

They submitted that the respondents including LDA and others had initiated a massive defamation campaign through electronic and print media requesting people to avoid buying plots in sectors D, E and F of Bahria Town Lahore for being developed without approval of any competent authority.

They contended that the LDA did not have authority to take such an action as scheme did not require NoC from LDA.

The petitioners alleged that the Punjab government, which was under control of a politically hostile regime, formed a criminal conspiracy to damage standing of Bahria Town.

They submitted that the prices of plots had decreased due to this defamation campaign.

The petitioners pleaded the court to issue directions to LDA for terminating the campaign. They also requested the court to direct LDA to refrain from exercising control on Bahria Town.

  1. It is always confusing that when Bahria Town was selling Sector D, E and F why not LDA stop them at that time and now they are taking action against them when they have sell every thing. If these Sectors are supposed to be illeagal then why not they took action at the time of booking.

    • Yes this is main point and should be consider by LHC that what is inside story as sector e been started last year and where was LDA that time if it was against the Law. MY SUGESSTION IS TO SHARIF BROTHERS that they don't suit such a negrive approach against Malik riaz only because of Bilawal house, let the zardari do openly political activities… We are with PML N…

  2. This was just a drama but top business people to buy some bunch of plots on low rates. At that time not even ready to ask about Bahria Town Sector Jinnah block 5 marla plots, which are around 1200 but now you will hardly find any plot available for sale. And per plot own is up to 2million. Same position is for other sector E blocks i.e. Iqbal, Rafi, Qauid .. even Johar … where you can't reach till now.

Also at this time Sector F and Golf City is on board and there is no balloting or map available but per file own is up to 8 lac. Sector F investment is safe? Here you see the detail http://www.bahriadeals.com/bahria-town-lahore-sec… But still i would say Bahria Town and Specially Sector F investment is good and safe.

  3. What do you thing as we all know the OWN on 10 Marlas File for Sector F has gone over 550,000Rs WOuld it calm down or will keep touching the sky in near future? I am planning to buy one but cant make it due to high OWN….it is realistically devastating and i dont know what to do buy or do not buy…Kindly enlighten..
