‘Bonsai Demonstration’ at Japan Cultural Centre

KARACHI – Charles Ceronio, a world-renowned bonsai master, exhibited his works, titled ‘Bonsai Demonstration’, on Sunday at the Japan Cultural Centre of the Consulate-General of Japan, in collaboration with the Pakistan Bonsai Society (PBS).
Bonsai is traditional Japanese potted tree arrangement and one of the most popular Japanese cultural activities in the world. The basic philosophy of bonsai is making a small world on pottery, and many bonsai require a few years to be completed. At the demonstration, PBS President Dr Saeed Faiyaz Khan highlighted the attractiveness of bonsai.
Acting Consul-General of Japan in Karachi Toshikazu Isomura welcomed Ceronio to Pakistan and appreciated his contribution for promoting bonsai all over the world. Ceronio showed how to create a bonsai in front of a large audience that watched his excellent demonstration with keen interest and conveyed their gratitude to him.
