The District Bar Association (DBA) on Monday occupied a canal rest house and set up a board of Lahore High Court (LHC) Sargodha bench there.
Criticising the Punjab government, DBA President Syed Tayyab Sherazi alleged that hurdles were being created for establishment of an LHC bench in Sargodha.
Earlier, the bar president, the general secretary along with a large number of lawyers locked the excise and taxation office.
Sargodha division lawyers had completely boycotted courts for the last 15 days to press for their demands.
The lawyers also staged a rally from Katchery to DPO Chowk. They carried banners, placards and raised slogans for setting up an LHC bench and vowed to continue their protests until their demands were accepted.
