The JafFria Alliance on Thursday urged the federal government to conduct a swat like operation in Quetta to rid the provincial capital of terrorists, extremists and deviants.
Addressing a press conference here at the National Press Club, Jaffria Alliance chief Allama Abbas Kumaili alleged that the police and administration of Balochistan are both incompetent and corrupt and have failed to execute their duties. He said that authorities are protecting criminals by not registering cases and presenting challans against them in courts. He said that the second Hazara massacre in a month could have had been averted if on ground corrections had been instituted after the sacking of Raisani government. He said that sectarian killers roam in Balochistan with complete impunity and criticized the federal government for not enforcing its writ. He said that all hopes have been lost on the federal government and Balochistan governor.
The Jafria Alliance leader said that if directives of the Supreme Court to root out sectarianism and terrorism are not implemented, then there stands a possibilty that in future the outlaws would become more powerful than the Balochistan government itself.
