Electricity shortfall has ended, claims Power Ministry

The Ministry of Water and Power on Wednesday claimed that electricity shortfall in the country had ended.

According to a spokesman of the ministry, the production of electricity was 8,000 megawatts while the demand was 7,875 megawatts at the moment.

The country experienced a national blackout on Sunday with no power in most parts of the country including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Quetta and Azad Kashmir.

  1. No doubt left in our mind that our power minister is all time picked for his quality of speaking straight lies to people just lies only.

  2. if the electricity supply is in surplus as claimed by the minister, then why is there a loadsheddding of 12 hours a day on muzaffargarh feeder and, moreover, why is the voltage supply 180 volts here instead of full 220. why does the government enjoy telling untruths to the people all the time? it only reveals a sadistic streak.

  3. Ofcourse the short fall has ended(for 2 or 3 days anyway) since 80% of the country was in the dark for hours,they have a little extra bijli for few days and then back to the usual.
