Tehreek-i-Minhajul Quran (TMQ) Chief Dr Tahir ul Qadri has said that dialogues regarding electoral alliances with Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) are underway and final decision would be taken on March 13 in a party meeting.

Talking to media at Lahore airport before leaving for Canada on Wednesday, Dr Tahir ul Qadri alleged that some elements were issuing statements that he was fleeing from the country. He said that he was flying to Canada to receive for medical treatment and would return on March 11.

He said that the MQM and other parties were willing to form an electoral alliance with TMQ but the decision regarding an alliance would be made in the meeting of the federal council of the party on March 13. “Decision to either take part in the elections or boycott them will be made in the party meeting”, he added.

The TMQ chief further added that just like the nation he also has suspicions over the holding of general elections in the country.

  2. Ideally I want PTI to sweep general elections but knowing our mentality we will still vote for PML N and PPP who have done nothing in last twenty years other then looting. PTI should ally itself with MQM, PAT , PML Q , JI & AML. Basically choose lesser evil.
