As many as six people lost their lives and 44 others were injured in a collision between a bus and truck on Tuesday.
According to reports, a Sialkot-bound bus (T-1179) hit a tractor trolley while overtaking another bus. As a result, six passengers died on the spot while 44 other sustained severe injuries.
Upon receiving information, the Rescue 1122 teams reached the scene and rushed the injured to the District Headquarters Hospital Sahiwal. Nine of the injured were said to be in a critical condition. Police said scores of children and women also wounded in this road mishap.
The deceased were identified as driver Afzal, conductor Safdar Ali, Rizwan, Muhammad Yaseen. Two bodies could not be identified so far. Police have registered a case and started investigation.
