Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif on Monday said that mammoth corruption of the federal government has mortified the looters and robbers and it was a question mark on the performance of a democratic government which for the first time in history of country was going to complete its tenure.
He stated this while talking to the MPAs belonging to various districts of Punjab.
Shahbaz Sharif said that enormous corruption worth trillion of rupees has lead the country’s economy to the verge of collapse. He blamed that so-called ruling coalition democratic government deprived the masses of meals and other basic life amenities and only choiced people were facilitated which was against democratic norms. The Chief Minister Punjab claimed that Punjab government initiated and completed record development projects in Southern Punjab to remove their sense of deprivation.
He said that former Punjab government had spent Rs 52 billion on development projects but sitting PML-N led provincial government had already spent Rs 260 billion and several projects were still under progress. Shahbaz Sharif urged the elected representatives to spare no efforts to serve people of their respective areas and assured complete assistance on behalf of provincial government in this regard.
