Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif on Sunday said that to protect dengue, a change in social attitudes is needed and the provincial government would not tolerate any unhygienic practices which lead to mushrooming mosquito breeding sites.
In a statement issued to mark the “Anti-Dengue Day”, Shahbaz said that his government would utilize all available resources to curb Dengue.
He urged the elected representatives and district administration to operate in cohorts with governmental machinery to make anti-dengue campaign a success against the dreadful disease which claimed hundreds of lives during last two years. The CM also appealed to people hailing from all walks of life to assist the provincial government in its drive against Dengue.
Meanwhile, despite today being a Sunday, all provincial government offices remained in attendance to mark the “Anti-Dengue Day”.
