A four-year-old girl died of measles on Sunday at Kandkhot.
According to the reports, the girl died in Gulsher Muhalla of the city. As many as 128 children have died of measles in the district in last two months.
Measles is caused by single-stranded RNA virus of the genus Morbillivirus within the family Paramyxoviridae.Humans are the natural hosts of the virus; no animal reservoirs are known to exist. This highly contagious virus is spread by coughing and sneezing via close personal contact or direct contact with secretions
