Nine more dead, 5 vehicles torched

As many as nine more people were gunned down and nine vehicles were set ablaze in different areas of the city here on Wednesday.
In a family feud at Daud Chowrangi, a man, Ismail, opened fire at his brother Saeed that left four people including Saeed dead and five others injured.
The deceased include vegetable vendor Shahjahan, shopkeeper Arshad and an unidentified man.
As police approached the area to arrest Ismail, the local people besieged them in an effort to take hold of the delinquent and beat him up. However, Rangers personnel rushed to the flashpoint and brought the situation under control.
Ismail has been shifted to Landhi police station.
Meantime, an unidentified man was gunned down in Ayub Goth, New Karachi.
Some unknown miscreants opened fire at a car near Bhains Colony killing Machine Tool Factory MD Arshad and injuring his fellow, Kashif.
A 25-year man Safdar was shot to death near an airport signal. In a firing incident in Gulshan-e-Bihar, Orangi Town, 28-year Tauqir Hussain was killed and two others sustained injuries.
Some unidentified people torched a passenger coach near People’s Secretariat on New MA Jinnah Road and two other vehicles near Star Gate on Shahra-e-Faisal.
