One person was killed and five others were injured on Wednesday when a bomb went off near a the religious rally in Jacobabad, officials said.
According to sources, the blast took place at a gathering in Goth Ahmed Din Brohi area of Jacobabad.
The injured were shifted to a local hospital while police started gathering evidence from the site of the blast.
Police believe the blast was targeted at Syed Hussain Shah, a local cleric with millions of followers in Sindh and Balochistan. However, his grandson, Shafiq Hussain Shah succumbed to injuries in the hospital.
