Sindh Police on Tuesday presented the final Challan pertaining to the murder of 20-year-old Shahzeb Khan in Anti Terrorism Court (ATC).
The Challan declares four suspects as arrested and four others as absconders. The police submitted the final challan which included the names of 53 witness including four eye witnesses and declared that four suspects, including Shahrukh Jatoi, were under arrest whereas four others were declared as absconders.
Those who were declared as absconders included Salman Jatoi, Asif Lund, Nawab Ali Jatoi and Khurram Muhammad. The investigating officer informed the court that the passports of all absconding suspects were cancelled and that Interpol had been contacted over the issue.
The court adjourned the hearing on the case until Feb 28. Twenty-year-old Shahzeb, son of Deputy Superintendent of Police Aurangzeb Khan, was gunned down on the night between Dec 24 and 25 when he was returning home, along with his sister, after attending a wedding at the Country Club Apartments in Karachi. The SC had taken suo motu notice of Shahzeb Khan’s murder following protests from the civil society and coverage of the incident on the media.
