Tough contest between PPP, PML-N in PS-73

A tough contest between the candidates of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) is expected to take place in PS-73 Sehwan Sharif by-election to be held on February 18th. Other political parties have also fielded their candidates for the by-polls, but the real contest would be between the ruling PPP and PML-N candidates. The PML-N had fielded Habibullah Rind for the by-election, who was also supported by former Sind chief minister Liaquat Ali Jatoi, while the PPP candidate was supported by Sind minister Syed Murad Ali Shah. Meanwhile, the Lakha Ittehad chose Engineer Khalid Hussain Lakho as their candidate, who had also launched a massive election campaign by taking out rallies and holding public meetings to muster people’s support. Other parties were also coming out in full force in the hope of amassing the maximum number of votes. Moreover Sind United Party (SUP) candidate Roshan Ali Buriro had also launched election drive for the upcoming by-elections.
