Sindh Assembly Speaker Nisar Ahmed Khuhro on Wednesday said the leader of opposition in the provincial legislature would be appointed as per assembly’s rules and procedures. The speaker stated this while inaugurating the party’s calendar 2013 at the assembly’s cafeteria. Flanked by Information Minister Sharjeel Memon and other MPAs, Khuhro said the caretaker set-up in Sindh would be formed after completion of the Sindh Assembly’s tenure. The caretaker chief minister and the set-up under him in Sindh would be established with the consensus of all political parties. He said the caretaker chief minister of Sindh would be nominated with the consensus of all political stakeholders in the province. The speaker said the assembly was going to be the first provincial legislature which would complete its five-year tenure. This, he said, made him congratulate all political parties for their role in strengthening democracy in the country.
