The Foundation University Islamabad (FUI) organised a seminar on Quality Assurance Processes and Role of Program Teams in Self Assessment of Programmes. FUI Rector Maj Gen (r) Gul Muhammad was the chief guest at the inaugural session, while NUST Quality Assurance Director Muhammad Ismail conducted the seminar. Participants included FUI faculty members and the senior administration. The seminar aimed to enhance awareness about quality assurance process and strengthen the role of various programme teams in the implementation of a quality policy at the department level to effectively and purposefully execute the QA process at the FUI campuses. Ismail highlighted the importance of quality assurance in maintaining and enhancing quality education at the university in the first session, while second session provided an in-depth knowledge about the concept of self assessment of each program and its integration into the existing system. FUI Rawalpindi Campus Director Prof Dr Aftab Ahmad distributed certificates among the participants, and said the FUI was effectively pursuing the quality assurance process prescribed by the Higher Education Commission.
