Aisha Haroon laid to rest

Renowned journalist and former editor of The Nation, Ayesha Haroon was laid to rest on Thursday after Zohr prayers next to her father Syed Haroon Shah’s grave at the Miani Sahib graveyard. Haroon passed away in New York last Saturday night where she went for treatment of cancer. Her body arrived in Lahore on Wednesday. Her funeral was attended by notable personalities, including Pakistan Today Editor Arif Nizami, Advisor to Punjab Chief Minister Tariq Azim, Senator Pervaiz Rasheed and SAFMA Secretary Imtiaz Alam.
