Open bidding for the auction of 62 places in Rawal Town for the installment of hoarding boards will start from February 11.
According to district government officials, Rawal Town has been divided into nine zones for the award of contracts. They said that four sites would be auctioned in the area between Katchery Chowk to Rashid Minhas Road, five between Riyalto Chowk to Liaquat Bagh, three between Liaquat Bagh to Chandni Chowk, 13 between Chandni Chowk to Double Road, 14 between Double Road to Faizabad and five sites would be auctioned in Commercial Market Public Park zone.
The district government is expecting to earn millions of rupees from the auction. It is pertinent to mention here that the district government had earlier banned the installation of advertisement boards in the city in an attempt to make the city beautiful. Now the government pointed out the sites for the installation of the boards and would auction the sites.
