12 killed in Karachi

Unabated violence continued to claim innocent lives in the metropolis as 12 more people were gunned down and several others injured in separate incidents of violence. Three robbers were also killed in fire exchange with police.

According to police, unidentified armed men gunned down 45-year-old man in Golimar. The body was shifted to hospital where identity of the deceased was confirmed as Waseem Siddiqui. While another person named Amjadur Rehman, 34, was killed in the same area when unknown miscreants opened fire at people sitting at a shop.

In North Karachi an activist of political party identified as Farhan Baig was shot dead by armed motorcyclists.

The police recovered two bullet riddled and tortured dead bodies packed in gunny bags from Garden locality. The deceased were identified as Mola Bux and Bilal. The bodies were shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK).

Body of an unidentified man was also found from Sohrab Goth area.

The police recovered hanged body of Rizwan from a house located in Yousaf Goth locality.

Police said a 27-year-old man identified as Asim was killed in firing in Old Haji camp. His body was shifted to Civil Hospital.

A 25-year-old person was shot dead by unidentified men in Soldier Bazaar. The victim was identified as Zeshan Baloch s/o Sharif Baloch.

Meanwhile, police on a tip off conducted search operation in Clifton Block-9 and arrested three suspects including a police personnel and recovered arms from their possession.

On the other hand, three dacoits were killed and a policeman was injured in two police encounters in Moti Mehal, Gulshan-e-Iqbal and Nazimabad area.

Two persons were injured when a cylinder exploded in a private college car parking area near Karsaz on early Thursday morning. The injured persons were shifted to nearby Pak Navy’s Shifa hospital.
