After strong opposition to Governor’s rule in Balochistan by allies of the ruling coalition, politicians are hinting at a new political set which would result in the lifting of the Governor’s rule soon.
JUI(F), ANP and BNP(Awami) have openly expressed their opposition to the Governor rule and asked the Federal Government to allow the provincial assembly to elect a new leader of the house. Well informed sources told Pakistan today that Abdul Rehman Jamali and Mir Sadiq Umerani are out of the race and Deputy PPP Parliamentary leader Ali Madad Jattak has got a nod to be the next Chief Minister of Baluchistan. Madad enjoys the support of the JUI(F), BNP(Awami) and four other members and will be elected Chief Minister after the Governor rule is lifted.
Per sources, PPP Balochistan President Mir Sadiq Umerani could not get clearance as certain cases were filed against him during the reign of General Ziaul Haq for working against the security of the country.
In view of the developments, the joint session of the Parliament which was convened on February 6 to legitimise Governor’s rule has been cancelled. The sources further said that the PPP Government at the centre is considering restoring the civilian set up in Baluchistan before assemblies are dissolved.
Sources added that after the imposition of Governor rule, the security situation in Baluchistan has improved but the government does not want to annoy its allies and is willing to install a civilian government for the remaining five weeks.

Extremely sad news.
If that is the price of Democracy, then it is better to be under a dictator. Atleast there is development and much better writ of Law.
Every one knows that Ali Madad Jattak was a small time street thief. He would not leave the cycles of newpaper vendors also. So PPP thinks that he is rightly Qualified for the post of CM in Balochistan.
Please check it from SHO of his area, before Zardarai decides to punish people.
aj khan u r right there is no justice the supreme court should take somoto action for not reinstaling those corrupt politicieans like assadullah minister of agriculture.they must be in cutody of the NAB for investigations.
So from car lifter the baton is being passed to cycle lifter. What the hell is going on. Please check on this man. He is a thief. From general store to bakery to road side hotels. all had been his victims for breaking their locks and stealing.
So now it is the turn of thief of Railway Colony Quetta. Pick pockets, cycle lifters and lock breakers will have rolling time after the loot of Raisainis.
Shame PPP.
I think Zardari is conspiring against democracy
It will be bigger tragedy shall result in further choas and confusion. House of 66, 55 ministers for long 5 years, what they have given to the province. In any case there is no point lifting governor's rule when elections are hardly 2 months away. Mr President this time no revange otherwise it will be bad for the democracy you have struggled so hard!
really a matter of shame for the people of balochsitan if any member from provincial assembly became the chief minister of balochistan because all are the culprit and are responsible for the killing of innocent people in balochistan expecilally minority people.the governor rule must be extended.all the provincial ministers must be arrested for corruption and miss management.
hhahahahah. Ali madad jatak …Oh My God! the CM of Balochistan… Hahaha Kill me !
