Interior Minister Rehman Malik asked Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry to take notice of Minhajul Quran Internatinal (MQI) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri’s remarks regarding imposition of martial law during his sit-in in Islamabad.

Talking to reporters outside the Supreme Court, he advised Qadri to hire legal counsel to guide him regarding such statements, adding that Qadri has lived abroad so long that he forgot what to say.

Earlier on Sunday, Qadri had claimed that if he let his followers go free hand, martial law would have been imposed in the country within five minutes.

  1. Isnt it amazing how infinitely patient Allah is, for allowing this man to continue to live on this beautiful planet…

  2. What is wrong with Qadri's statement, it should be viewed in the context it is made. All opposition parties are asking government to hand over Karachi to army because they have failed to control killing of innocenr people.Should SC be asked to send army.
It is better if Malik sahib talks less, because when he starts he yalks everything but misses the main subject
