No progress without education: PM Ashraf

Prime Minister (PM) Raja Pervez Ashraf while addressing the inaugural ceremony of Gujar Khan Campus of the Virtual University in Islamabad said that the masses will foil all attempts to the derail democratic set-up in the country.

The prime minister paid rich tributes to all political forces for supporting and strengthening democratic system over the last five years. He also appreciated role of the judiciary and media in this regard.

He said the government is committed to holding general election on time which will further strengthen democracy in the country. He said democracy is our destiny.

The prime minister said Pakistan Peoples Party government is following in the footsteps of its Shaheed leaders.

The premier reiterated Quaid-e-Azam’s words that there can be no progress without education.

He said the government has made successful efforts to promote education particularly in the far flung and under-developed areas of the country. NNI
