The Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) has planned to establish a temporary garbage dumping point in Sawan.
According to sources, RCB board officials will request the district coordination officer (DCO) for permission to establish the temporary dumping point. Garbage would temporarily be dumped at Boser on Chak Bail Road along with waste from the solid waste management.
Cantt Board CEO Rana Manzoor Ahmed Khan said the Bhata dumping point was being transferred to a location on Adiala Road, but the district government was being contacted to establish a temporary dumping point prior to preparing the permanent one. He said the board would contract the solid waste management to take the garbage to Boser.
