He contradicted the allegation from Lt Gen (Retd) Aziz that he had shelved report on Kargil episode.

To a question, he said if army tried to take over the country, he would take any decision on opposing or supporting it per prevailing situation.

Regarding Tahir ul Qadri sit in he said whatever demand is made it should be welfare oriented for the masses.

“Elections are ahead and I will return to Pakistan two and a half months before general polls,”, he stated.

In response to a question he said, “I have never interfered in any assignment of NAB”.

  1. It is a request to both the generals concerned, please stop washing your dirty linen in public. What massage are you sending to the pakistani public which holds the army in high regard? Gen .Musharaf seems to always have patrionising comments about his colleagues. Can he name a few whom he holds in high regard. He smells hubris. Last of all dirty linen should be washed in one's own backyard not in others. It is commonsense!

  2. How did this nincompoop ever make it to become a general? Serious questions have to be asked about the GHQs selection process.

    • You have answered the question yourself. Who staffs the GHQ ? Read the memoirs of another frustrated Gen. Chisti.

  3. Musharraf is great and always truthful .General Shahid was quiet for last 5 longyrs –Why?
I bet he is talking now to get a seat from Nawaz harif

  4. Its now evident that this person is responsible for all the mess; SC should take suo motto action and call him to explain

  5. If only Former PM Nawaz Shariff had not relieved COAS Gen.Karamat of his post , history could have been different. Musharaf wanted to be Zia's militarty secretary but fate and Nawaz handed him a bigger prize!

  7. A country hell bent on creating trouble for others rather than addressing its own. A country being played like a fiddle by its misguided and self serving military!!
