Tension prevailed in several cities of Sindh on the second day as workers of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) on Wednesday forced traders to shut down shops against the premier’s arrest orders by the Supreme Court (SC), media reports said on Wednesday. People carrying weapons also resorted to firing in the air in interior Sindh, including Larkana, Nawabshah, Sukkur Kahirpur, Daddu, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Badin and Jamshoro. They also burnt tyres and blocked the national highway. Meanwhile, the angry supporters of PPP also held several sit-in demonstrations in Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Jacobabad, Nawabshah, Sukkur, Sanghar, Thatta and other parts of the province. Security of Bilawal House in Karachi has been heightened after violence erupted in the city.
