Ajmal wins Special Prize for Best Bowler of the Year

One of the world’s leading spinners Saeed Ajmal on Saturday night was given a special prize for being the Best Bowler of the Year at the PCB First Annual Awards held at a local hotel.
Ajmal accepted his Trophy from Zaka Ashraf and ICC CEO David Richardson.
Ajmal said: “Around the cricketing world, Pakistan over the years has been known for its bowling attack. To be named the best for the year from such a special group… for me this is an out of this world. It took me 16 years to reach at this point in my life. I donate all the prize money to my newly inaugurated academy in Faisalabad.”
Ajmal was among the 18 players and officials who were awarded trophies and cash prizes for their outstanding performance in the first-even awards conducted by the PCB.
Ajaml was not only given the special award but was also declared the best bowler of T20, ODIs and Tests.
Each winner was given gets Rs 200,000 cash prize with the trophy while Ajmal as gets the Special Prize for the Best Bowler of the year with cash award of Rs 1,500,000.
