SNGPL MD takes note of staff negligence to redress complaints

Sui Northern Gas Pipelines (SNGPL) Managing Director Arif Hameed took serious notice of the negligence of the SNGPL staff in addressing the grievances of the consumers, official sources said on Sunday.
“The MD directed all field GMs to conduct surprise visits to various offices of sub-regions to monitor the performance of the officers and staff and see whether they are providing the best available services to consumers which he added, are the backbone of the company,” he said. MD Arif Hameed directed SNGPL Lahore GM Suhail Gulzar and the heads of the sub regions, including chief engineers, distribution engineers, accounts officers, deputy chief administrative officer and heads of billing sections to address the complaints of the public on top priority otherwise strict action would be taken irrespective of their designation.
The MD issued these directions when it was brought to his notice that the staff at SNGPL sub-region at Harbanspura failed to address the genuine grievances of the consumers and no staff is co-operating with them for getting their problems solved.

  1. i have discnnected 70 commercial connections in karak . 50 of which were reported in police stations by lodging the fir. these includes bakeries hotels pop corns fast food corners and many others commercial ponits where gas was used illegaly .16 km pipleline was recovered from the illegal connections at diffrent villages.5 persons were who were using illegal gas were arrested in dc karak 3 mpo cases. i recieved appreciatin letter frm sgmd sngpl . please issue me a special increment(s) and promotion for this act of punctuality. i will do my best to continue this.

      I have repeatedly lodged complaints against a news paper office located in PHA apartments sector G-7/1, block 9, flat no.2 in Islamabad who run there generator on gas to SNGPL 1199 helpline but to no avail.

  2. included in 5 culprits 3 mpo 1 was the peson who damaged the main D.I.KHAN 12 inch diameter high pressure line at noshapa gas feild.

  3. i want to bring to your notice that despite repeated requests courier hired by islamabad billing department does not deliver bills in time.he always provide the bill in the evening preceeding due date.FOR THE CURRENT MONTH I HAVE NOT RECEIVED. THE BILL TILL TODAYie 28th march. i have brought this problem to the notice of billing department but of no avail. hope after bringing it uor notice something will be done .i live in naval anchorage islamabad thanks. lt col safdar ali khan

    Sui nothren has send us a bill of Rs:29510.45 against old id#40212268805 bill id#086422495137, where as previously we are recieveing the gas bill 4700 to 5000 just making 8 to 9 cups of tea or two times meal for gaurds.

    they just send us that your metre is steaky and we are sending you average bill,

    I am nadeem ali from kasur muhalla out side kot haleem khan near darbar shahdara, sir sui sothern gas office has take gaspipe line in our street last two years ago but not connected with main pipe line, many times all streets fellows visted near office but not take any action against our complain.
    Plz sir take a action and connect our street pipeline with main pipeline. I hope after bringing it our notice will be done.

My name is Muhammad Hassan and I have complain to Faisal Abad Office regarding my Consumer No. 34093010006, My Gas Meter was theft and I got it after Depositing Rs. 8412/ and lodging complaint to Police FIR, and now in problem that my above Gas Meter is not in use and my house is closed and empty, and I m getting monthly wrong bill, I have been many time to Billing Section to Mr. Younas to rectify the correct bill and they have not bother to take correct reading and send me the proper bill . it is happening from last November 2012 to till date.

    1st of all department should create its own help line there complaints against department officers should be registerd

Sir, I hereby informed all my respectable commander of SNGPL regarding a issue of new connection for that i entered my documents at Nowshera Main Office vide 6159448551-0 dated 01 March,2012, but sorry to say yet to date no one yet visited to survey of my home neither listning to my request after almost two years.
    It is therefore, very humbly requested to kindly look into the matter and instruct the concerned to please provide me the facility, as I now residing with my children for their education purpose at Hafiz abad Derai Korona Risalpur Cantt.

  10. i applied for new gas connection on 10.08.2012 uner APPLICATION NO. 3497638395 and i visited on July 2013 to Gas Office Abbottabad they confirm that my connection number comes from Islamabad, they took rcpt from me and said within a week your servery wl be done, i waited and after 2 weeks i went them again they said one of our person Named Mr. Iftikhar will come for survery, so he came 15/11/2013 for survey, while till date i have not rcvd any demand note, although i called many times to concerned peoples, think either they are buzy or wants me to give something to them but i never wl pay any single rupee for my jenuine connection, hence, pls take action and infm me soonest with thnx

    I am akbar my gas connection papers are attach but Mr. Shahid of Kahan take me Rs. 8000/- bribe for connection my all documents are complete he adjust miter at my home at Shalimar Town, Kahna Nau, Lahore only for 20 days and send another man his name waheed. Mr. waheed cut my miter and take me Rs. 400/- without any objection. Sir, i am very poor please take action against both persons i affidavit to ALLAH all information are tru.

    The resisidents of IQBAL TOWN Rawalpindi have reported that there is no gas supply in Iqbal Town since THURSDAY last. The Gas Pressure is so low that even one cup of tea can not be prepared. One 75 years old aged citizen of Iqbal Town RAJA GHAZANFAR ALI KHAN ADOWALIYA has told this newspaper that it is become a repeated bad routine of Most Corrupted and cruel officer of SNGPL to tease SNGPL consumers by closing the either gas supply completely or also keeping the low gas pressure for many many days from time to time whenever they like in order to give severe mental worries to their SNGPL Consumers .He has also mentioned that there is sitting one clerk on Phone 1199. If any consumer desire to phone to any responsible officer of SNGPL, then it is impossible because the officers of SNGPL have concealed their Phone Nos in their websites. Raja Ghazanfar Ali Khan has requested to Prime Minister of Pakistan to kindly terminate the service of both corrupted and cruel officers of SNGPL ie Managing Director Lahore and General Manager Islamabad in the best interest of Pakistan because both officers are defaming the well reputation of most popular muslim league government of Pakistan. Raja Ghazanfar Ali Khan also advised to Prime Minister of Pakistan to post most intelligent, honest and highly educated officers of GOOD BLOODED FAMILIES in SNGPL and others Government Departments for the improving of working efficiency of all government Departments .

But the sui Northern Gas Piple Line has Showed from survey map the the same is not feasible as 75 meters 2"0 inch extra Pipline is required to provide connection to me.     Pls check my Consumer iD that how many complains i have registered for this since Oct 2014 but still nobody is rectifying this.
    Massive underground gas leakage is going on but nobody taking it seriously.

    I am paying regularly bill of gas meter consumer No.50184584782 but against its came some persons from SNGPL department and take out our gas meter and told us that meter is fake. how can possible that meter is fake which provided by SNGPL department and i am paying gas bill against this meter.

    please resolve my problem as soon as possible because i am not present in home and my wife, three little child in tension due to unavailable of gas
