Shahzeb murder case: Shahrukh Jatoi living in Dubai

Shahrukh Jatoi, key accused in Shahzeb Khan murder case, is living at the residence of a Dubai-based businessman and legal formalities are being completed to extradite him back to Pakistan, UAE government confirmed.
Sources said, the lack of coordination between the foreign offices of the two countries is hampering Shahrukh’s arrest while Dubai police might arrest him if things are coordinated properly.
Only an arrest request has been sent to the UAE Interpol and Interpol offices around the world by Pakistani Interpol.
According to the UAE government, Jatoi has been put on the Exit Control List as there is no sense of urgency on their part and the Dubai authorities would not arrest Jatoi unless legal formalities are met.
Meanwhile AVCC SP Niaz Ahmed Khosa has left for Dubai take the accused into custody after Islamabad Interpol issued a diffusion notice instead of a red warrant.
Jatoi had fled to Dubai on Dec 27 after the Murder of Shahzeb Khan of a small dispute. Police suspect he used someone else’s boarding pass when his ticket was cancelled at the last minute.
On Wednessday, the Lahore High Court granted one-day bail to Sikandar Jatoi, father of Shahzaib Khan murder case, as witnesses in Karachi pointed out Siraj Talpur as the person who shot at the 20-year-old youth.
The bail orders were issued by the LHC on Sikandar’s request that he wanted to appear before the Supreme Court to record his statement in the case. Sikandar said that there were chances that the Karachi Police might arrest him to interrogate for the murder.
In Karachi, witnesses identified the three accused, Siraj Talpur, Sajjad Talpur and Murtaza Lashari during identity parade in the judicial magistrate’s court. Investigation officer Mubeen quoted one of the witnesses as saying that Siraj Talpur had fired at Shahzaib on the directions of Sajjad and Murtaza last month in the Defence area of the metropolis. The main accused in the case, Shahrukh Jatoi is still at large.
Meanwhile, media reports said that the Pakistani authorities had sent the necessary documents to Dubai authorities to facilitate Shahrukh’s arrest. According to Sindh Police Inspector General Fayyaz Leghari, the police were hoping that the Dubai police would arrest Shahrukh and hand him over to them in the next two days.
