During joint operation of CPLC and AVCC, six accused including three women involved in kidnapping a two-month old child for ransom were arrested and the minor was rescued. According to details, the CPLC and AVCC on a tip off carried out joint action in Gulshan-e-Iqbal area of Karachi and recovered the kidnapped two-month old baby from a private hospital besides apprehending three women among six people. It should be mentioned that relatives of infant Sameer Farooq kidnapped him on January 02 from a house located in Liaquatabad and demanded Rs 0.5 million as ransom. Family members contacted CPLC and after tracking mobile phone of the accused detained them from a private hospital. A case has been registered against the accused and they were being interrogated.
