PPP pays tribute to Zulfikar Ali Bhutto on 85th birthday

The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) on Saturday celebrated the 85th birth anniversary of its founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. PPP Lahore President and Federal Minister Samina Khalid Ghurki, PPP Punjab General Secretary Tanvir Ashraf Kaira and Manzoor Wattoo cut a cake in the presence of hundreds of workers. Speaking on the occasion, Kaira said that Zulfkar Ali Bhutto had laid the foundation of true democracy in the country in 1967 by founding the PPP and introduced the first unanimously approved democratic Islamic constitution. He further said the leadership of the PPP including Zulfkar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto had worked for poor of the country and sacrificed their lives for the nation and democracy. Moreover, he said the PPP founder had initiated the nuclear programme and gathered Muslim countries on a single platform by organising the Islamic summit conference, adding the country would have been a modern and developed state if ZAB Shaheed had not been murdered. Furthermore, he said President Asif Ali Zardari was following the mission of Zulfkar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto by practising politics of reconciliation.
