ISLAMABAD – The parliamentary committee for the appointment of judges on Tuesday rejected the Judicial Commission’s proposal of one year extension in the tenures of two additional judges of the Sindh High Court (SHC). The committee, headed by Syed Nayyar Hussain Bukhari, met in the Parliament House and discussed the proposal.
The committee approved the names of Justice Imam Bakhsh, Justice Azhar Rizvi, Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar and Justice Nisar Ahmed. However, it rejected the proposal of extension in the services of Justice Muhammad Tasneem Aslam and Justice Salman Hamid.
It will now present the reason for the rejection of the names of the two judges to the prime minister, who will inform the Judicial Commission about the decision.
