KARACHI – Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Sindh General Secretary Taj Hyder Sunday said the Muslim League was the party of Quaid-e-Azam but now it seemed that it spiritually belonged to General Zia. A dangerous game was being played in Punjab through horse-trading which was a clear violation of the 14th Amendment, he added.
Addressing a news conference at the PPP media cell, Taj said the current politics of Nawaz would result in unpleasant situation. “Nawaz Sharif is continuing baseless propaganda against the government.” Everyone knew the fact that the confrontational path adopted by Nawaz during his last tenure, provided ‘reason’ to the army to takeover, he added.
The senior PPP leader said the PML-N chief had again started politics of conflict while the PPP was following the path of reconciliation, adding that the confrontation would harm democracy and provide the third force an opportunity to take benefit of.
