Favourites Wapda are dominating majority of the sporting events of the 32nd National Games winning 10 gold medals on day two here on Sunday. Wapda was clear leader in events like cycling, football, shooting, baseball and softball while HEC and Sindh came up as s surprise in swimming. HEC men won three gold medals in swimming while the Sindh ladies got five gold medals and their win they are now places second in the medals table while HEC is third with four gold medals. As many as four events were contested on day two of the 32nd National Games Cycling on Sunday with Wapda showing dominance in all the four events.
On the day two men and two women events were contested and in all the four events that were held Wapda cyclists maintained their grip on the sport. The events contested included 4 kms and 3 kms team Pursuit for men and women, 4 kms Individual pursuit for men and 3 kms Individual pursuit for women. In 4 kms team men pursuit, Wapda’s cyclists secured gold medal with a time of four minutes and 59-87 seconds while HEC was places second and Railways got third position.
In 3 kms women team pursuit, the story was the same with Wapda taking gold medal with a timing of four minutes and 50.44 second. Similarly HEC was second but in ladies category Punjab got the third position. In 4 kms individual pursuit for men, Mohammad Sabir of Wapda left everyone high and dry to win the gold medal in the event with a time of five minutes and 15.42 seconds, he was followed by Ahsan Abbas and Mohammad Shakeel of HEC and Punjab respectively at second and third positions.
In the 3 kms individual pursuit for women, Wapda’s Raheela Bano secured the first position when she clocked four minutes and 51.23 for the top slot. Asma of HEC and Fiza Riaz of Railways were second and third in the event. Punjab and Wapda secured easy wins in the Kabbadi event of the 32nd National Games on Day two here at the Central Model School Ground on Sunday. In the first match, Punjab defeated Khyber Pakhtun Khawa by 46-31. In the second match of the day, Wapda completed a 48-27 rout of KPK.
Wapda kept to its billing in Football event when it beat KPK by a hard-fought 1-0 margin here at the Model Town Academy ground. Wapda beat KPK by 1-0, Police beat Punjab by 2-0. Women: Punjab draws with HEC 0-0 In gymnastic, Wapda’s supremacy in the remained intact in the gymnastic events at the Sports Hall of Government College University. Railways was second with 80.3 points and HEC is on number three spot with 68.7 points.

Yasir Khan Wapda beat Talah Zubair Sindh by 6-0, 6-0
Sindh girls got their team 125 points by winning five gold medals while two of their girls won silver and one got bronze that took them to the top of the swimming medals table and dented the Wapda’s chances of being the overall leaders in the event.
Yes I agree with you that events like cycling is like softball also. You’ll also want to be sure everyone wears a helmet when they’re at bat. Safety should always come first.
Okay. I like baseball and softball but I like cycling too.
