As Salman Khan’s Dabangg 2 releases today, expectations are riding high on the film, as is the case with all Salman films. This makes it difficult for directors to break Salman’s own record. That apart, the subject has to be different. Bother in law Atul Agnihotri who directed Salman in Bodyguard and is gearing up for Bodyguard 2 is aware of this. Says Atul, “I am aware of audiences and their expectations. We will be consciously different with Bodyguard2. Everything is changing, from the style to the music. I would like to make it more contemporary since the character Lovely Singh ( Salman Khan) has been widely accepted and liked. Salman has humour and he’s a true great hero and he’s an inspiring actor to work for. But Bodyguard 2 can go anyway”. “In the end, I’ll think of the audiences as they are the ones buying the tickets to watch the film and believe in the product”, adds Atul.
