60-year-old dies at Services Hospital due to alleged negligence

LAHORE – A 60-year-old man died at Services Hospital due to alleged negligence of doctors here on Saturday. The deceased was identified as Manzoor, a resident of Nawankot. The victim’s family told the police that Manzoor was ill for past few days and was admitted in Services hospital on Friday night where the doctors did not treat him timely. Resultantly, he died in the emergency ward.
The victim’s family members staged protest against the doctors in front of the hospital. Later, police officials reached the spot and assured the deceased’s family members that legal action would be taken if the doctors’ negligence would be proved. However, the deceased’s heirs refused take legal proceedings against the doctors and left the place after taking the dead body.
Mysterious death: A 35-year-old unknown man was found dead under mysterious circumstances in the jurisdiction of Lower Mall police on Saturday. Police said that the deceased, still to be identified, was seemed to be a drug addict who might be died due to excessive usage of drugs. Some locals of the area spotted his body lying besides a milk shop near Data Darbar and informed the police about it.
Later, police reached the spot and shifted the body to city morgue for autopsy. Police also made numerous announcements in the said locality mosques but none of the citizen claimed to own the body.
