The entry test for admission in the course of BS biomedical engineering academic session 2013 was held on Thursday at Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences Jamshoro. According to university spokesman, a total of 300 candidates from all over Sindh appeared in the test for admission on 30 allocated seats of open merit. Vice Chancellor Prof Mashoor Alam Shah who visited the examination centre said that first ever in the history of the university, the course of BS Biomedical Engineering is being started under recognition from Pakistan Engineering Council and the Higher Education Commission. Biomedical Engineering combines engineering expertise with medical needs for the enhancement of healthcare, he said and informed that the University is producing efficient and hardworking technologists on one hand and job opportunities in the public sector organizations including hospitals on the other hand.
