DASKA – Sambrial patrolling police seized a heavy quantity of liquor from a car in the jurisdiction of Bagowala Police Station. Reportedly, the police were tipped off that two people were taking a heavy quantity of liquor to Sialkot in a car. The police signaled them to stop but the accused ran away leaving 193 bottle of liquor on the spot.
C&W seeks early construction of roads: Provincial Communication and Works (C&W) Secretary Azam Salman took strict notice of the slow pace of construction work of Daska-Sialkot and Gujranwala roads and directed the officials concerned to pace up the construction of these projects.
He said the slow work was causing inconvenience to the people that would not be tolerated any further. He further asked the Sialkot DCO to ensure that all other encroachments on these roads would be removed within a week. He also gave a two-week deadline to the electric power company for the removal of electricity poles from the roads that were delaying the construction work on several roads.
