Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) on Wednesday announced results of the poster competition it organized on ‘Maternal Mortality and Morbidity among Women, Primary Healthcare and Violence’.
Medical students and doctors from all parts of the country were eligible to participate in the contest that also coincided with PMA’s 30th Biennial Medical Conference held recently in Quetta. The poster competition was organized in collaboration with UNICEF Balochistan.
Dr Sarwan Kumar member of PMA (Central) executive committee was the coordinator of the event. Shahzaib Aslam, of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was awarded first prize for his poster in the Maternal Mortality and Morbidity/Violence against Women category. Komal Hassan, also from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa bagged second position, Fatima Qadir Khan, from Sindh and Ali Ibrahim from Punjab securedt third and fourth positions respectively.
Uzma Wahid,from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Zaryab Ghauri, from Punjab, Mishal Mahmood, from Sindh and Salman Haider, from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were the first four position holders respectively in the Primary Health Care category.
