The nuisance of unannounced load shedding has returned as the electricity shortfall increased to 5,000 MW on Wednesday.
The shortfall has led to an increase in the hours of unannounced load shedding in several cities of Punjab. In Lahore and other cities, unannounced load shedding is being experienced every other hour.
Residents of Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Sheikhupura, Sahiwal, Okara and Kasur are experiencing 10 hours of load shedding on a daily basis.
