Pakistan Rangers (PR) have voiced strong protest over targeting of Pakistani citizens by Indian Border Security Forces (BSF) and called for end to this unethical and inhuman act.
A 13-member Pakistan Rangers delegation led by Deputy Director General Rangers Brig Hafiz Jamil reached India Wednesday to join dialogue process taking place at Attari.
Brig Hafiz Jamil said talks are key to resolution of border issues and revival of trust climate. The delegation will hold in depth talks with Indian delegation on defence related construction and repair of all sorts close to and around working and international borders, he added.
Earlier talking to media men he said PR never takes initiative in launching attack and on the other hand whenever any offensive is undertaken “we” retaliate. And this is our policy, he added.
“We have made it clear that targeting civilians is inhuman and immoral act and it should not be done so. It is also fact that civilians are attacked upon and we will raise strong voice against it during talks. This protest is part of our agenda”, he underlined.
Curbing smuggling, swap of prisoners and other border issues will feature in the meeting, he pointed out.
Responding to a question from journalists he said every country has its own culture. We have assigned obligations to our women in line with our culture and providing security here is our duty, he held.
