President Asif Ali Zardari has refused to accept Interior Minister Rehman Malik’s apology despite hectic efforts by common friends and other key personalities.
Sources said efforts to search for a replacement for Malik were underway. A distressed Malik, who has been running from pillar to post and using various channels to win back the president’s confidence, has apparently failed in his efforts.
He sought help of a common friend and a property tycoon, seeking apology from the president who flatly refused, ostensibly because his confidence in Malik had been shattered. Reports said Malik also visited the United Kingdom in his efforts to have a chance of meeting President Zardari during his recent visit there, but was unable to meet him. He also held a meeting with MQM chief Altaf Hussain and later with PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto and tried to use their influence, but nothing had come out of these meetings so far. Malik’s name was initially included in the entourage accompanying Zardari in his recently concluded visits to the UK, France and Turkey, but President Zardari struck down his name, replacing him with Minister of State for Interior Imtiaz Safdar Warriach.
But what is the reason for souring of this love affair ? can anybody tell please….
Bilwal-Khar intimacy was leaked to some intelligence idiots by this bigger idiot who remained right hand of Zardari for last 6 years. He was real messiah of Zardari, finely did operation cleanup of Bhutto and vacant seats for Zardaris all alone. As usual like snake cant stop itself from biting rehman malik couldnt stop him of leaking such affairs that can little bit influence to first political flight of chick bilwal, whom is considered future PM of Pakistan under zardari training course.
Every dog has its day!
Both Asif and Rehman Malik are liars and hypocrites. If Nazia's comments are true then AZ will never ever forgive him. Rehman Malik is a compulsive liar. He is Altaf;s man. May be Altaf will try to help him but if the cause of AZ's anger is a personal one he will not be forgiven. Let us see what happens in next few days
There is always a space for a person like Malik. He won't be out of job for long, same for Gillani.
