ISLAMABAD – Addressing a meeting of the Pakistan People’s Party core committee, President and party Co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari reiterated his party’s resolve to continue politics of reconciliation introduced by Benazir Bhutto.
A party official said former foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi and party’s secretary information Fouzia Wahab were not invited to the core committee meeting, hinting at the leadership’s displeasure with their out of context statements on the Raymond Davis issue.
“The meeting discussed the Davis case and decided that the government should leave the matter with the courts,” the source said, adding that the meeting also discussed the talks with leading political parties on financial issues, including the PML-N reforms agenda.
