Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) is to observe ‘Youm-e-Tashakur’ over the historic verdict of Supreme Court (SC) in connection with irregularities found in electoral rolls of Karachi. A public meeting in this regard will be held at Idara Noor-e-Haq on Saturday.
This announcement was made by Amir Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Muhammad Husssain Mahenti during a meeting at Idara Noor-e-Haq.
Addressing on the occasion, Mahenti termed the SC verdict a historic decision and said that the SC through that verdict has interpreted the emotions and feeling of the people of Karachi. He added the said decision will not only help in holding fair and free elections but also will be a milestone to restore peace in the city.
Mahenti further said all religious and political parties except MQM have reservations over the current electoral rolls of Karachi, which is an open proof of irregularities in the electoral rolls.
The crusaders of Reds or Killers of Bengalis are still unable to counter the Altaf bahi gang ruling in Karachi for last 20 years.So it proved that Altaf bhai's gang has an edge on this JI group.This time they are relying on SC to give them some power tool to handle this political group. So next time Altaf bahi gang should be selected to counter terrorism in KPK areas if it is acceptable to few UK residents having MQM representation.
