President Asif Ali Zardari has issued an Ordinance to further amend the Establishment of the Office of Wafaqi Mohtasib (Ombudsman) Order 1983.
Through the Ordinance, amendment has been made in Article 24 of the Act. It provides that the Wafaqi Mohtasin may by order in writing and for such period and subject to conditions as he may deem fit, delegate his powers to any officer holding post in BS-21 or above in the Wafaqi Mohtasib’s Secretariat.
It is worth mentioning that the post of Wafaqi Mohtasib (Ombudsman) is lying vacant for the last about two years and as a result decisions on thousands of applicants are pending.

President saheb,my crime is that I spoke and raised slogans agaisnt Army dictator late gen zia in 1981 when he visited Drig Colony,karach and immediately Marial Lwa was imposed in P.I.A and lots of supporters of Shaheed-E-Pakistan zulfiqar Ali Bhottu for his unfair killin.As a result my service were dispensed from P.I.A in 1981 and since then I have been living a sorrowful and difficult life.May I appeal to the President of Pakistan Mr.Asif Ali Zardari to reveiw my my on special grounds.Muhammad younus Bitt Ex-Acctt.Asstt P.I.A P-40239 Cell;-3004021667
