At least four people were killed in a US drone strike launched in North Waziristan Agency early Thursday morning.
According to the media reports, the strike took place at pre-dawn time when U.S. unmanned aircraft fired two missiles at a house suspected of being a militant hideout in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan. As a result, four persons were killed.
On Dec 1, the US drones launched a strike in South Waziristan, the neighboring tribal area of North Waizirstan, killing at least four people including an al-Qaeda leader named Abdul Rehman Azman, a Yemeni national believed to be one of the close aides of the former al-Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden.
Thursday’s US drone strike is the 37th of its kind in Pakistan in 2012.At least 265 people have been killed in such strikes since this year.
