KARACHI – The Crime Investigation Department (CID) said on Tuesday that it has arrested an activist of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and his three accomplices. A CID official said that a TTP operative, Sarzameen, was shot and injured by unidentified people as he was headed towards his hideout after offering prayers at Masjid-e-Bilal in North Nazimabad on February 4.
The injured was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for treatment. Later, he was moved to a private hospital – Healthcare Hospital – in North Nazimabad. A doctor informed the police about the patient’s “suspicious activities”. On Tuesday, the CID arrested Sarzameen and his three accomplices, who were paying him a visit.
