Violence ensues as seminary teacher gunned down in Karachi

At least three people, including a teacher of a seminary, were killed in fresh incidents of violence and firing here on Monday.
According to police, some unidentified miscreants opened fire at a car near Al-Asif Square, killing a 45-year teacher of a seminary, Ismail on the spot.
According to police, Maulana Ismail was a teacher at Madressa Ahsanul Uloom. The deceased received gunshots in his head and neck.
Police and Rescue personnel arrived on the spot and shifted the dead body to Jinnah Hospital.
Angry people took to road and staged a violent protest at Abul Hasan Isfahani Road over the killing of Maulana Muhammed Ismail. The rampage caused holdup in traffic on the road.
According to police sources, the violent demonstrators set six vehicles on fire at Rashid Minhas Road near Fazl Mill bus stop. Also, some protesters ran amok at a CNG station in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, causing damage to the filling station.
A few minutes after the drive-by shooting, two dead bodies were found from the same area, raising the death toll to three within ten minutes.
