Unabated violence claims 7 more lives

In an unending spate of violence in Karachi, at least seven people were killed and five were wounded in various incidents of firing on Friday.
A man Riaz Hussain was killed and another Mehdi Shah was injured in a shooting incident in Green Town area of Shah Faisal Colony. Armed men opened fire over a car in the Shaheed-e-Millat area killing Mazhar Abbas and injuring his daughter. Two men were injured in firing in Kalapul area. The body of a 12-year girl was recovered from bushes in Gulistan-e-Johar. Two men were gunned down on Hub River Road. In Manghopir area a man Khalil Khan was shot dead. The Rangers conducted search operation in Manghopir area of Karachi, which was continued for three hours.
Interior runs amok on Friday: Police and bomb disposal squads (BDS) foiled a bid to bomb Bolan Express on Thursday night.
Per details, unidentified miscreants planted a locally manufactured explosive device within one kilometer’s radius of Larkarana Railway Station. The miscreants aimed to blast the device at the time of Quetta-Karachi bound Bolan Express’s crossover. However locals spotted the device and informed police and after preliminary investigations, police called in the bomb disposal squad to diffuse the bomb. Sources in police talking to the scribe said that the bomb could have had also caused loss of human lives along with damaging human property. Similarly unidentified miscreants set ablaze a vehicle of private company near Telegram railway crossing at Kotri.
