Appointment of judges in IHC case declared maintainable

The Supreme Court (SC) declared the appointment of judges in Islamabad High Court (IHC) as maintainable under article 184-3 of the constitution.
A four-member bench of the SC took up the case for hearing on the request of Advocate Salim Ahmad on Tuesday.
The SC directed the Attorney General (AG) to seek instructions from the government, as the petition was maintainable under the article 184-3 of the constitution.
During the course of the hearing Justice Asif Saeed Khosa asked the AG to obtain these instructions. And Justice Khilji Arif directed the AG to obtain those files the same day.
