Islamabad District Bar Association (DBA) will observe a strike today (Monday) to condemn the killing of a lawyer in Rahim Yar Khan.
The DBA Spokesman Khalid Hussain told APP that the strike was being observed on the call of the Punjab Bar Counsel (PBC) to protest the murder of a senior High Court lawyer Saeed Ahmad Gopang in Rahim Yar Khan.
He said that the legal fraternity strongly condemned the rising number of incidents targeting lawyers and their families.
Khalid said that lawyers would continue their struggle for rule of law in the country and such incidents would not deter their resolve and determination for the cause of justice.
Punjab Bar Counsel demanded the arrest of culprits involved in the killing of the lawyer and demanded protection for the legal fraternity.
